The Religion Of Peace?

If the Bible spoke these words, what would Christianity be called?

This is my call to all fellow bloggers to drop the Political Correctnes and call a spade a spade.

I added a post from Patrick at Clarity and Resolve on a fellow bloggers post earlier tonight.

If your religion is peaceful, if it condemns violence against the innocent (and the word "innocent" is not a relative term), then start naming names and helping us to help you to reclaim your hijacked™ faith.

That is a bold statement, one that must not go unnoticed.

If the Muslim Faith has been hijacked by militants, and a few fringe extremists, then lets all as a peace loving people, take them down.

Otherwise, those of us non-Muslims will not know who is the enemy.

Muslims, do you see the problem?

The truth is that Islam is not a religion of peace. It is a religion of hate, of terror and of war. Islam advocates killing the non-Muslims and abuses the human rights of minorities and women. Islam expanded mostly by Jihad (holy war) and forced its way by killing the non-believers. In Islam apostasy is the biggest crime punishable by death. Muhammad was a terrorist himself therefore terrorism cannot be separated from the true Islam. Islam means submission and it demands from its followers to submit their wills and thoughts to Muhammad and his imaginary Allah. Allah is a deity that despises reason, democracy, freedom of thought and freedom of expression.

I am fearful of the Religion of Peace.

I welcome all Muslims to address these statements, and prove them wrong.

Until then, I fear what you believe in, and I believe you must be stopped.

Please, give me some comfort, prove these statements from your own books wrong.

I would love to live and let live, but it appears you are taught to hate.

I can't go along with that.

Soccer World News

Turkey is a country that is very passionate about soccer, but they won't have much to say in the big time just yet.

They were shut down earlier this year by Brazil.

Why do you think that happened?

As a friend emailed me a picture, I have a pretty good understanding how it happened.

They have no motivation.

Brazil, on the other hand, has a huge motivation, or huge pairs of motivations.

In sports, the saying goes, to the winner goes the spoils of victory...

Which spoils would you play your ass off for?

Yep, it's no wonder Turkey is under-motivated, and Brazil continues to be a top name in The World Cup.

I have some advice for the Turkish Government, and coaches...

Take those flags away from those homely women, and get with the program!

Hot, enthusiastic chicks will always do more for your atheletes than covered up, you can't touch this broads any day.

I am already rooting for Brazil, but I think The US can put up equally hot chicks to motivate our soccer team.

I've never asserted that the majority of Muslims are bloodthirsty holy warriors, just waiting for that day when they receive the call to jihad (although the percentage of Muslims who aid and support jihad is another matter). But you know, it doesn't take a whole lot of vicious peaceful religionist true believers to hack the heads off of three kids on their way to school, to blow up a market where people go to buy food you don't like, or to incinerate 200 innocent people bringing big tourist money to your nation.

It doesn't take that many to start firing off staccato fatwas with personal and group names attached either. Ferris, I Mean Farris Hassan's Day Off

It is about time!

In this day and age of remakes in Hollywood, finally someone remade Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Well except this was not a remake of a movie, but the real thing. Not to mention the fact that Farris, is the anti-Ferris, as Ferris was all about taking it easy, and Farris is all about walking into war zones for the sake of his own education.

Most everyone knows the story by now, Farris Hassan, 16, Florida resident, totally American, speaks only English, ditched school and his parents and went to Iraq to further his studies in journalism.

First, you are a very brave, inteligent, but foolish kid.

Don't ever change!

This kid is my hero.

I love a story like this. If this kid can grab about a million headlines, I think he just aced that high-school journalism class.

There is a struggle in Iraq between good and evil, between those striving for freedom and liberty and those striving for death and destruction.

You are aware of the heinous acts of the terrorists: Women and children massacred, innocent aid workers decapitated, indiscriminate murder. You are also aware of the heroic aspirations of the Iraqi people: liberty, democracy, security, normality. Those terrorists are not human but pure evil. For their goals to be thwarted, decent individuals must answer justice's call for help ... So I will.

Life is not about money, fame, or power. Life is about combating the forces of evil in the world, promoting justice, helping the misfortunate, and improving the welfare of our fellow man. Going to Iraq will broaden my mind. We kids at Pine Crest (School) live such sheltered lives. I want to experience during my Christmas the same hardships ordinary Iraqis experience everyday, so that I may better empathize with their distress. I also want to immerse myself in their environment in order to better comprehend the social and political elements ...

I plan on doing humanitarian work with the Red Cross. I will give my mind, body, and spirit to helping Iraqis rebuild their lives. Hopefully I will get the chance to build houses, distribute food supplies, and bring a smile or two to some poor children.

I know going to Iraq will be incredibly risky. There are thousands of people there that desperately want my head. There are millions of people there that mildly prefer my demise merely because I am American. Nevertheless, I will go there to love and help my neighbor in distress, if that endangers my life, so be it ...

If I know what is needed and what is right, but do not act on my moral conscience, I would be a hypocrite. I must do what I say decent individuals should do. I want to live my days so that my nights are not full of regrets. Therefore, I must go.

Again, I love this kid.

He feels guilty living in a big house, and not worrying about suicide bombers at Starbucks, he and his friends live such sheltered lives, and (I must do what I say decent individuals should do.) he must act in accordance with his beliefs.

What an incredible, if not incredibly foolish, young man.

Military Blogs

From time to time I have talked about what one of my best friends saw in Iraq.

I don't like to say too much about what he tells me, because it is a little weird if I talk to him and then rush home to write about our latest conversation.

We are friends, and I never asked to interview him for the purpose of writing, nor would I feel comfortable doing so.

At the same time, I see a very large discrepancy in what is being said in our media, and what is being witnessed in Iraq.

Here is my solution.

I'm going to post things from military blogs from time to time, just to keep it fresh in all our minds what a great job our troops are doing.

Here is the first installment.

There was no permanent link, so for those of you skimmers, I'll do some high-lighting in red.

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas and you should drink lots of water to prepare for your New Year celebrations coming up and stay hydrated!
Im glad you all are back safely. Things have been constant here in Iraq. Christmas came and went as the other holidays while deployed here, no biggie. The phones did work pretty well and after about an hour I got through back to the states.


We haven'’t let up on momentum in the region and I just returned from being out and about in our Area of Operations. Your Marines out west near places like Al Asad, continue to keep the enemy off balance and conduct operations to disrupt insurgency forces. By maintaining permanent presence in outlying villages enemy forces are now forced to leave their safe havens and flee. Before we would attack insurgents in villages, eliminate them and then return to our base. Now we do the same but include Iraqi forces and leave both Iraqi and American forces behind in the village to maintain security and safety. Unlike before this has totally disrupted the insurgency plan of action and now they cannot hide and torture Iraqis and force their way of life onto innocent people.


In Fallujah, Marines are continuing to keep the enemy off balance within the city and surrounding areas. By training Iraqi Special Forces, Iraqi Police and additional forces, Iraq'’s military force is gaining strength. Beginning with the basics and having them go through Marine style tactics and procedures they build their foundation a respectable force and will be able to defend their region when American forces depart. They will never be up to the standards of Marines and Soldiers but that's ok. We are training them to be competent fighters and maintain the capabilities to defend what is theirs. From talking to Marines that have fought with the Iraqi’s they say they are a proud and courageous Army that doesn't run because they have learned new things and have gained confidence in their abilities. They are tired of the insurgency and although are ready for the Americans to leave they know they need our training so they can do what they desire and fight off the insurgency.


All of the Coalition forces in Iraq are constantly training the Iraqi forces. Many Americans back in the states watch the news and would correspondingly think that anytime we do anything it is an airplane bombing, 50 cal shooting door kicking in operation. Although we are more than willing to do this type of a 'Kinetic'” operation we also do many additional building operations that help the country of Iraq. Combat Engineer'’s continue to build schools and patch buildings that fall apart or otherwise don'’t get repaired because of constant enemy sniper fire. So with security the engineers move in to reconstruct neighborhoods with electricity and plumbing. US Forces that move into villages take up residence during the operations. They then leave the area better than they found it. Clean the place up, leave the family money, make some repairs and apply some manual labor from the Marine unit. This has developed a relationship of Iraqi people telling our unit commanders '“come back to my house when you visit here again'” because they know they will get something in return instead of back a few years ago where Marines were taking residency and then leaving because of other operational commitments and additional fighting. This type of relations has been one of many building blocks that have assisted in strengthening the country and allowing the country to conduct successful elections. The elections were successful in Oct and Dec because of all ofg the unseen work done by your service members.


The Coalition forces have retaken over 14 cities throughout Iraq. Freeing captive tribes held by insurgents, established peace in areas of danger and murder. We are now in full motion training the Iraqi Army to new levels and help them to protect their country. Before you even ask, let me answer, Yes, I think the Iraqi Army, Police and Special Forces will be able to protect their country. Why? Because they have the desire to. This doesn'’t mean there won'’t be all out civil war here but lets look at our own history before we judge. The country does have democracy, businesses are thriving and people are much safer and freer than they were 3 yrs ago. They are getting to a level of self sufficiency and before we know it will be time for us to depart and let them have it.


Corpsmen and doctors are establishing a medical foundation to help fight some of the many diseases and injuries in the area. Civil Affairs groups are building the bond between different tribes to help them help one another instead of continuous fighting one another. We have no problem eliminating an evil dictator, fighting in the streets of Iraq, building schools and houses, repairing and bringing electricity to places that never had it before, helping a village who is dying live and yes, ......we do windows.

My friend, I have a humidor full of 'stoags', you just write to the Fu2rman, and if we can find ourselves in the same part of the world, I'll give you your pick of some really fine cigars.

Is it the LA Times that sucks, or is it the NY Times?

I always forget...

Of course the answer is BOTH big cities Times suck!

First in a funny little story yesterday...

Wolves Thrive but Animosity Keeps Pace

In a nutshell, LA Times staff writer Julie Cart makes the case that the Canadian Gray Wolf has rebounded from near extinction, but the anti-eco-people are still out there in droves.

Yes Julie, there are all kinds of people that would like nothing more than to wipe certain species of the planet, if I could please vote, I pick Newspapers with the word "Times" in them!

Anyway, her bombshell quote was this.

"In Wyoming, for example, Gov. Dave Freudenthal last April decreed that the (Endangered Species Act) is no longer in force and that the state 'now considers the wolf as a federal dog' unworthy of protection," Cart wrote.

That would be horrible if the Governor of Wyoming would have put out such a decree!

But, he didn't, it was a hoax.

Way to check your facts Julie. I bet you didn't do your homework in school either.

I didn't see the paper, because I don't read the LA Times, but I understand it was on the front page, which seems odd, but whatever.

Maybe it was just the front page of one section of the paper, I don't know.

And, it doesn't matter, or I would go and do the homework to say what was correct, one way or the other!

And now I can talk crap on the NY Times.

I was scanning through some stuff, and saw a headline in the Business section, and I became totally enlightened!

U.S. Growth May Hinge on Businesses

So, like if businesses don't do no good, then the economy don't do no good?

Wow, you don't say.

I've heard newspapers are written to about an 8th grade reading level, but the concepts the write about don't have to be.

This article just shows the obvious bias against GW Bush, and his accomplishments.

Lets go back to the Clinton years, he had the benefit of Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, and the other CEO/tech gurus helping push the stock market to record highs.

Good for Clinton, right place, right time, but when the bubble burst I didn't see him doing much to correct it. The end of the Clinton era had a mediocre economy, at best.

And now to the dismay of our Times writer Louis Uchitelle, The Bush Economy has survived a terrorist attack on our own soil, a war, 2 hurricanes, and a media intent to spin everything against Bush.

The housing market is gradually fading as a prop for the economy, eroding a source of increased wealth that allowed consumers to borrow and spend avidly in recent years.

Meanwhile, the bond market, where short-term interest rates are now slightly above long-term rates in what is known as an inverted yield curve, suggests that the economy is headed for a sharp slowdown, perhaps even a recession. The stock market rally earlier this year has petered out.

So why do most forecasters predict that economic growth will remain relatively strong next year? Perhaps because they are counting on other sectors that have been relatively weak - particularly stepped-up business investment - to help sustain the robust expansion of the last 30 months.

"I think the surprise will be that housing prices and housing sales will decelerate, but the economy will do just fine," said Richard Berner, chief domestic economist for Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Berner is not alone in his optimism. Despite some worrisome indicators, only a handful of the 53 economists surveyed by Blue Chip Economic Indicators predict that the growth rate in 2006 will drop much below the 3.7 percent average so far this year.

If I employed this chucklehead, he'd be part of the very low unemployment number we currently enjoy.

As Louis points out so quickly in his article, the housing market is slowing, and will cease to prop up the market, and no longer allow consumers to spend, and the bond points to possibly recession!

Yikes! That sounds scary.

But to poor Louis' regret, only a handful (he won't even give the number!) of 53 economists surveyed, predict much of a drop in growth over this years average.

Sorry Louis and Julie, a job with The Times used to be a pretty good job, but now, not so much.

I hate the ugliness of any war, however, some things are worth fighting for.

The war on terror being one of them.

I have said on a number of occasions that I am concerned about the fortitude of the Average American.

While I don't have the stomach to personally impale 20,000 people to make a point, I think the concept is important to note.

We are not fighting an enemy that lives by the same PC standards that we do, they will only respect equal violence.

They behead Americans and their side calls it a victory, our troops parade around a naked prisoner on a leash, and OUR side says we are evil!

Do you see a discrepancy there?

This is our enemy, this is what we are up against.

This war is not going to be won by playing nice.

I'll give you an example, and the two people I discussed this with can comment if they wish, but I will not drop their names.

I have a friend that was in Iraq working intel.

He was responsible for going into neighborhoods where roadside bombings had taken place, and interrogating them to get info to shut the bombings down.

His biggest complaint was that no-matter-what they would threaten these people with, they always knew that the terrorists would do much much worse to them.

My friend could threaten their life, their sons life, whatever, but they knew there was a limit.

But the terrorists had no limit, they would rape, murder, and massacre their whole family.

If any of you wonder why I have been so opposed to John McCain and his anti-Torture redirect, there you go...

Our enemy is not stupid.

They know the drill, they know they have little to fear.

This is an enemy that only understands fear, and they fear little.

They see it like this...

Qur’an 4:65 “They can have no Faith, until they make you (Muhammad) judge in all disputes, and find in their souls no resistance against Your decisions, accepting them with complete submission.”

Their Good Book tells us that until we are in complete submission, from our soul, we can not be accepted by them...

Merry Christmas, Whichever One You Celebrate

Well it is officially Christmas Day, so let me be the first to say Merry Christmas!

Notice, I did not say Happy Holiday!

I gotta say, it was nice today to be out picking up last minute items for our annual Christmas Eve Dinner, and hearing everyone wishing each other a Merry Christmas.

I don't want to take anything away from those that celebrate other holidays this time of year, but seriously!

If you said Merry Christmas to everyone you ran across today, you would be right 96 out of 100 times.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not one for excluding anyone, but when such an overwhelming majority celebrate Christmas, whichever one, it is appropriate.

Christmas is an interesting holiday.

You have two holidays to celebrate.

The Christian Holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus, and the not so Christian Holiday with Santa, Rudolph, and Frosty the Snowman.

That is why it was always confusing to me as to why retailers would take Christmas out of their holiday greetings.

96% of us are there to hand them money for their wares, and give them as Christmas presents.

I have a step-brother that is very Christian, and while I thought it was strange, (because I was raised differently), he totally dismissed Santa from Christmas.

I have to admire his conviction.

He taught his kids right from day one that there was no Santa.

He is also a realist, and didn't deprive his kids of presents, he just explained that they were from Jesus.

And because of his faith, that was absolutely true.

His success in this world was based on his faith, and therefore, the money that paid for those gifts was provided by his Saviour.

I always thought that was a pretty cool way to handle Christmas, from a true Christian standpoint.

Talk about integrity!

As most of you know, I celebrate the other Christmas, but I have a huge amount of respect for his families beliefs.

I have my beliefs, and he has his, but what a wonderful Christmas we spend together each and every year.

Because the bottom line is that this is a season about family, friends, and love for one another.

And I believe that is something we can all agree on.

Props To John McCain

I've spent some amount of time ripping on John McCain, but today, I'm going to point out a good thing he did.

First, I still don't trust him, his torture nonsense was stupid politics, but it seems when the chips are down, he can come through for the good guys.

None the less, if we were going into to battle, he would not be my first choice to watch my back.

After his appearance on ABC's This Week...

John McCain: Bush Right to Use NSA

Sen. John McCain disappointed Democrats on Capitol Hill on Sunday by defending the Bush administration's decision to use the National Security Agency to monitor a limited number of domestic phone calls in the wake of the 9/11 attacks.

McCain said the fact that congressional leaders - including top Democrats - were consulted on the NSA authorization "is a very important part of this equation." He suggested that any congressional hearings into the Bush decision focus on that aspect.

Notice, top Democrats-were consulted! And way to go J-Mc, that is an important part of the equation, one that doesn't get much attention.

Asked about House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's claim that she "raised concerns" about granting the NSA new powers during one meeting with White House officials, McCain said: "I don't know about any meetings, but I certainly never heard complaints from anyone on either side of the aisle.

"When this process was being carried out I would imagine that the leaders of Congress would be very concerned about any violation of law as well," he said. "Apparently [those concerns have] not been raised until it was published in the New York Times."

These Democrats are disgusting, they didn't raise any concerns until it became a New York Times story, then they pretend like the President acted totally alone, without their knowledge.

These frickin' liars!

Our Speaker of the House

Mr. Dennis Hastert, The Speaker of the House has a new post on his blog.

It has been a long night. I know I’m pretty tired and I know our Members are. But it was worth it. Anyone who knows me, knows that I keep my word. Well, we made some promises to the American people. We said we would restrain spending and prioritize government programs. . . that we would make government run smarter and better. We kept our promises. And we have a lot to be proud of.

Overnight, we passed three important bills: the Deficit Reduction Act, the Department of Defense Appropriations and the DOD Authorization bill.

They’re full of good provisions that are going to improve the lives of our families.

Let me tell you just a few of the things in those bills:

• We’ve got more than $40 billion in savings;
• Dozens of wasteful government programs were eliminated for a savings of $3.5 billion;
• There’s a 1 Percent Across-the-Board Spending Cut;
• And, there’s an Agreement to Explore the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. (Many of you already know how important this is. Ending our foreign dependency on oil will go a long way towards easing our energy problems.);

And those are just the highlights. There’s a lot more good stuff in those bills, including a pay raise for our troops and money to buy body armor and other equipment for our armed forces.

We really do have a lot to be proud of as House Republicans. It’s been a year of accomplishments.

We’ve gotten a lot of bills to the President. And we’ve seen them become law. Like CAFTA (the Central America Free Trade Agreement). It’s going to open more foreign markets in Central America and help our farmers and businesses.

We saw our energy bill become law. As well as the highway bill which is going to improve our roads and create jobs.

Bankruptcy reform was another big issue the president signed. And he signed a class action fairness bill to eliminate frivolous lawsuits.

The REAL ID Act was signed into law to help our law enforcement with the identification process.

And of course, when the hurricanes hit the Gulf Coast, we acted right away. We passed billions of dollars in aid to help the victims and to rebuild that part of the country.

Lookit, House Republicans outlined what we wanted to do. And I think the record shows we got it done.

For me, I think the best Christmas gift I could have gotten is this record of accomplishments. House Republicans did our job.

Now, coming back from the holidays, we have a full plate. We’ve got a lot of legislation sitting over in the Senate that we’re going to push them to act on. We passed a border control bill to secure our borders and keep terrorism out. The PATRIOT Act is sitting in the Senate. We need them to act on that. And there are plenty of others: a permanent repeal of the death tax, pension reform, Hurricane Katrina tax relief, capital gains and dividend tax relief.

We’ve been working hard at the Capitol. And I think America is better for it.

Look at our economy. It’s booming. Consumer prices just fell the most ever in a half a century. GDP is strong. Unemployment is at 5 percent. Home sales are good. And that’s the record we have after back to back hurricanes.

America is improving because House Republicans are passing some real legislation that’s getting to the heart of America’s issues. We’re making this country better.

There’s one more thing I want to talk about and that’s Iraq. I took a break from all the work around here to listen to the President’s speech to the nation last night. He said a lot of good things about what we’re trying to do in Iraq.

I think anyone with questions about what we’re accomplishing there can just focus on the elections we just saw. I know we tend to take things like that for granted but if you really, really think about it, it was pretty amazing.

Democracy has come to Iraq, a place that was once under a dictator – Saddam Hussein. Now, people are standing in long lines and walking for miles just for the right to vote and have a say in their government.

U.S. troops have made that type of freedom possible. I’m proud of them. They know that securing Iraq is key to our efforts to protecting Americans. And they’re going in there and getting the job done. So as we go into this Christmas week, I just want to say God bless them all. I know many of them are away from their families this Christmas. I just want them to know that we see what they’re doing and we appreciate it.

This Republican Congress is going to work hard in 2006 on behalf of the American people and those troops who are giving so much to our country.

Well, I guess that’s it for now. I hope all of you out in blogosphere have a safe and happy Christmas with your families and loved ones. Jean and I sure do wish you all the best.

I know I talk a lot about the Left leaning MSM.

A Measure of Media Bias

Go ahead and read the whole thing, it is lengthy, but tells the story.

In this paper we estimate ADA (Americans for Democratic Action) scores for major media outlets such as the New York Times, USA Today, Fox News’ Special Report, and all three network television news shows. Our estimates allow us to answer such questions as “Is the average article in the New York Times more liberal than the average speech by Tom Daschle?” or “Is the average story on Fox News more conservative than the average speech by Bill Frist?” To compute our measure, we count the times that a media outlet cites various think tanks and other policy groups. We compare this with the times that members of Congress cite the same think tanks in their speeches on the floor of the House and Senate. By comparing the citation patterns we construct an ADA score. As a simplified example, imagine that there were only two think tanks, one liberal and one conservative. Suppose that the New York Times cited the liberal think tank twice as often as the conservative one. Our method asks: What is the typical ADA score of members of Congress who exhibit the same frequency (2:1) in their speeches? This is the score that we would assign to the New York Times. Our results show a strong liberal bias. All of the news outlets except Fox News’ Special Report and the Washington Times received a score to the left of the average member of Congress. Consistent with many conservative critics, CBS Evening News and the New York Times received a score far left of center. Outlets such as the Washington Post, USA Today, NPR’s Morning Edition, NBC’s Nightly News and ABC’s World News Tonight were moderately left. The most centrist outlets (but still left-leaning) by our measure were the Newshour with Jim Lehrer, CNN’s NewsNight with Aaron Brown, and ABC’s Good Morning America. Fox News’ Special Report, while right of center, was closer to the center than any of the three major networks’ evening news broadcasts. All of our findings refer strictly to the news stories of the outlets. That is, we omitted editorials, book reviews, and letters to the editor from our sample.

Dec. 19, 2005 President Bush declared Monday that he has the power to approve eavesdropping within the United States without going through standard legal procedures.

"Do I have the legal authority to do this? The answer is, absolutely," a defiant Bush said at a year-end news conference dominated by questions about his support for the secret domestic surveillance program.

ARGGHH! Let me stop right here!

Let's clarify, there was no domestic to domestic eavesdropping here, only US calls to other countries.

A Rough Year For The President?

Well, let's see, we survived hurricanes, and still our economy is strong, and fuel prices are down and tolerable again.

Iraq just held a successful election that puts them on the path to self-government and self-security, meaning the US can pull out it's troops!

That is the goal, right!?

And despite the media and the Left Dems bashing him at every turn, his approval rating is up.

Let's get something straight.

Did the phone calls between you and your family get listened in on?

Of course not.

Think logically, look around the damn freeway when you drive, there are at least a bazillion phone calls taking place everyday. I know, a bazillion is not a number, but you get the picture.

The government doesn't have the man-power, or the motivation to listen to you and I talk about the personal B.S. we all talk about.

They were only targeting international calls, and again, they do not have the man-power or motivation-to even listen to international calls to grandma, talking about the new babies first word.

Now, I am not in the CIA, but I would bet money that they have some computer surveillance program to listen for key words, and then, and only then, would a real person check it out.

And, apparently we are talking about a couple hundred phone calls out of all the phone calls ever made since 9/11, a couple freakin' hundred calls, out of litterally billions!!

At this point, I am willing to call this an act of treason on the part of the New York Times.

News of the domestic surveillance program threatened to overshadow the president's other messages. In the hour-long East Room event, Bush did find an opening to play politics lashing out at Senate Democrats who have blocked passage of the Patriot Act. Without naming Harry Reid or Hillary Clinton, he slammed them by geographic implication, saying, "I want senators from New York or Los Angeles or Las Vegas to go home and explain why these cities are safer," without the bill. The Patriot Act is set to expire if the Senate does not vote to renew it before winter recess.

Yes Jessica, he was threatened by a story that litterally has no relevance to the lives of 99.999% of US citizens, to discuss a matter that threatens our countries safety as a whole, how dare him!

And Jess, if calling out Senators by region is 'playing politics', you must hate it when the Dems attack President Bush by name or title.

Frankly, I live in SoCal, close enough to Los Angeles, and I would like answers!

I want to know I am safe in my own country.

I have been reading, and hearing the media and the Dems calling the Patriot-Act block a 'Victory'.

Is It Time For Christians To Riot?

Notice how little coverage this gets. Notice the lack of riots in Italy, the US and Britain. Listen this Sunday to priests and preachers all over Christendom not call for violent retribution and holy war against the heathens.

At this point a mosque burning or some similar action against Islamic symbols in Australia seems inevitable. Watch what happens when one mosque is attacked, much less four. Watch for the widespread coverage, the global outrage (and not just Muslim nations either.) Listen for the pinheads on the BBC and NPR wringing their hands about the "racist nature of Australian society," with no disclaimer about any tiny minority. Listen for the death threats against Australian public figures. Watch as politicians get bodyguards and wear flack jackets.

Australians should be examining the situation in Holland very closely. It's a glimpse of their future, only perhaps, worse.

A woman has been sentenced to two years in prison for collecting $36,000 in
donations by fooling friends and colleagues into thinking she had cancer — going
so far as to shave her head, forge a doctor's certificate and tape a fake intravenous
port to her arm.

Rachel Allen pleaded guilty in October to four counts of felony theft by false pretenses.

Allen's friends and family gave her free housing, food and cash and even paid for
weekly massages to ease the pain of chemotherapy, said Lisa Poll, a deputy district
attorney.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when I first came upon this article. To think that there are people living who would do such crazy things for money and attention. I've heard of people pretending to be sick to gain affection, but honestly... cancer? What I wonder about is the person who called Ms. Allen out on her fake disease. "Wait a minute... that isn't a real intravenous port..."

We would do well to remember that beside the obvious loonies like Tookie, the Reverend, Johnny Depp and the like, there are plenty of run-of-the-mill weirdos among us.

ACLU Sues San Franscio 49ers

Two longtime 49ers season ticket holders have sued the football organization over the pat-down searches it has implemented before games at Monster Park this season.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California filed the suit Thursday in San Francisco Superior Court on behalf of Dan Sheehan, a season-ticker holder for almost 40 years, and his wife, Kathleen, alleging that the team’s policy violates the couple’s right to privacy under the state Constitution.

“Something’s not right here,” said Dan Sheehan, a retired glazier who said he’d owned season tickets since 1967. “You don’t get a pat-down for going to a public event. That doesn’t happen in my country.”

The National Football League, citing post-Sept. 11 terrorism concerns, issued a directive before the start of the season for its 32 teams to conduct mandatory searches of fans before they enter stadiums.

Forty-niners spokesman Aaron Salkin said the league was concerned for the safety of its fans.

“It’s NFL-mandated policy,” Salkin said. “The use of limited pat-down security screenings is entirely reasonable and serves to better protect the fans in our stadium.”

It was only in October that the ACLU sued the Tampa Bay Bucs. I only have one question, are they going to sue each and everyone of the NFL teams individually for something the NFL mandated? Why not go after the NFL’s policy? Are they hoping to get attorney’s fees rewarded, wasting our tax dollars for each individual team?

Oh, jeez...where do I start on this one?

I have no doubt that some of the Middle Eastern guys beat up were innocent. But that's what happens when perceived political correctness undermines public confidence. We rely on the state to dispense justice, when that is thought to fail then mob rule steps in and punishes innocent and guilty alike.

If the law of the land is overlooked in favor of PC Bull-Shit, this is what you are left with.

I will not call it anarchy, as that is a strong word, but society will make their voice heard.

On one hand, it is unfortunate that innocents get caught in the cross-fire, on the other, it is note-worthy.

This is a country that, at it's core, will not give up to Islamofascists.

Iranian leader denies Holocaust

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has courted further controversy by explicitly calling the Nazi Holocaust of European Jewry a "myth".

"They have created a myth today that they call the massacre of Jews and they consider it a principle above God, religions and the prophets," he said.

On live TV, he called for Europe or North America - even Alaska - to host a Jewish state, not the Middle East.

Israel swiftly denounced the president's comments.

"We hope these extremist comments... will make the international community open its eyes and abandon any illusions about this regime," Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Mark Regev told AFP news agency.

I was pondering what to get Tookie Williams for Christmas.

Jesse Jackson, the racial demagogue-turned-wannabe Death Row gawker, is desperately lobbying to be one of Tookie Williams' execution witnesses, according to cable news reports.

Reader Doug from Upland e-mails that the crusading Rev. Jackson did not know the names of Williams' victims when asked by KFI-AM radio talk show hosts John and Ken.

[Update: Reader Denise R. writes, "I was listening to [KFI host] John Zi[e]gler, he actually asked Jesse Jackson the names of the victims on a couple of occasions and his microphone was taken from him by Judge Mathis (the TV judge) and broken. He also was pushed by Jackson supporters, after that happened he was forced away from Jackson by Sheriff's Deputies.]

That was not all, the Rev. was also babbling something about the legal lynching being illegal, and how John Zieglar was guilty of that...???

Of course I'm paraphrasing, I can't understand Jackson sometimes.

You see, Jesse, a lynching is defined as an execution without authority, or process of law. Tookie had his due process in abundance.

This is Clarence Ray Allen.

He is set to die on Jan. 17th.

Not enough publicity around this one, so I'll bet we won't hear anything from them.

This man deserves to die, his crimes were as heinous as Tookies, but this guy doesn't have the benefit of being black.

Nobody cares when an evil white man is put to death, including me by the way!

But I also don't care when any evil person is put to death, regardless of his race.
